After three decades working in real estate, I’ve made up my mind regarding the best downtown Denver condos.
I’ve lived in Denver for my entire life, and know every part of the city like the back of my hand. For decades I’ve explored every neighborhood; scouting countless corner bars, new restaurants, and trendy buildings. But through my years, my all-time favorite place in Denver remains an elegant, luxury high-rise building sitting at the corner of 16th and Larimer: The Barclay.
I lived in The Barclay myself for eight years and have spent countless hours over my last 28 years as a real estate agent focused on helping folks find their dream condo at The Barclay. I truly believe The Barclay is home to the best downtown Denver condos. What could possibly make me love a Downtown Denver high rise so much? The Price is Low Compared to Similar Luxury Downtown Denver Condos, Making The Barclay a Phenomenal Deal.
The Barclay has several outdoor areas available to residents.
The first reason I believe The Barclay is home to the best downtown Denver condos is the price.
The Barclay has somehow managed to fly under the radar as a luxury Denver high rise, much to the benefit of those who want to live there!
Despite its top-tier amenities (see more on this below), 24-hour doorman, and many units with panoramic mountain views, the prices at The Barclay remain low compared to similar units with The Barclay’s ideal location and amenities.
The Barclay is somewhat of a well-kept secret; an off-the-radar way to enjoy luxurious downtown-Denver living, and I love that about it.
The Nightlife is Ridiculously Fun. So is the Day Life. And the Morning Life, Too!

Union Station features abundant transportation options in addition to bars, restaurants, and shops.
The Barclay is a luxury high rise located at 16th Street and Larimer. If you’re unfamiliar with Denver, know 16th and Larimer is steps away from Denver’s 16th Street Mall, an outdoor shopping district full of restaurants, bars, entertainment, dispensaries, shops, and more. You can walk out of the front door of The Barclay and land at the Free 16th Street Mall Ride which will take you anywhere you want to go along Denver’s 16th Street Mall within minutes.
On one end of the 16th Street Mall district you’ll find Denver’s Union Station – a gorgeous transit station and hotel with not-to-be-missed bars, restaurants, and coffee shops inside. When you live at The Barclay, it’s just a quick six minute walk from your luxury condo to enjoy a weekend morning at Union Station’s Snooze Eatery or Pigtrain Coffee. Co.
Or, if you’re looking for an evening out, you can walk over to the infamous Cooper Lounge, a high-end cocktail bar overlooking the lobby of Union Station, or keep it casual with a visit to Milkbox Ice Creamery.

Therefore, those who live at Barclay Towers are never far from the bus or train they need to explore Denver and beyond! Barclay Towers Residents can even catch a train to the Denver International Airport directly from Union Station!

Whether you’re enjoying The Barclay’s swimming pool, gym, or community room — which, by the way, features a flat screen TV, plenty of seating, and a kitchen — you’ll be surrounded by unbeatable sky-high views of the mountains or the city.

I’m a particularly big fan of the floor to ceiling windows in The Barclay’s gym! In my opinion, if you’re going to run on a treadmill, you might as well have a beautiful cityscape to enjoy while you do it!
But, the best part is the swimming pool. The Barclay’s pool is on its upper floors, allowing you to swim or lay out in the Colorado sunshine among the tops of Denver’s high rises. It’s an unforgettable experience, and the cherry on top of why I believe the Barclay is home to the best downtown Denver condos.
